Welcome Friends!
MCAA is an organization committed to promoting the
enjoyment and welfare of the Montgomery County Maryland (GAI) Airport. We
promote the airport through a wide array of programs on general aviation,
covering such topics as safety, currency skills, airspace and air traffic
control, general aviation maintenance, and other subjects of interest to the
flying community. MCAA also sponsors special events planned to bring together
the airport community. All MCAA events are intended to promote friendship,
aviation, and enjoyment of Montgomery County's public use airport.
Thank you for your continued support of MCAA
through your generous donations. If you'd like to learn more about MCAA
participation and donations, please read Support
MCAA .
Montgomery County Airport is within the Washington,
D.C. Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA), subject to special operating
requirements for VFR and IFR pilots alike. Please be sure to review all
NOTAMS and contact Flight Service (800) WX-BRIEF before each flight --
even local flights! Visit the News section of our website to find out about
recent updates affecting our airport, being a good neighbor, and issues
affecting our airspace.
Please visit our website often as the contents of
the site changes frequently. If you are interested in volunteering your time to
MCAA, please contact us at president@mcaa-md.org
or drop in for our Board meetings. Board Meetings are generally held the
1st Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m., but contact President@mcaa.org for details. As always, all
are welcome.
